1. What is E-ticket?
E-ticket is an electronic version of the paper ticket. The only difference between E-tickets and standard air tickets is that when passenger is E-ticketed, all travel information that was previously available on traditional paper ticket is stored electronically in the Computer System of the airline.
2. Purchasing of E-ticket
Purchasing procedure of the electronic air ticket is very simple and convenient. As it was already mentioned the E-ticket remains in an electronic format in computer system of airline. Passengers will be provided with the passenger itinerary receipt of E-ticket containing the same information as usual paper ticket.

E-ticket contains the information on conditions of transportation, in particular, the following standard data:
• Ticket number
• Name and a surname of the passenger
• Code and name of airline, flight number
• Dates of journeys
• Time of departure
• Airport of origin and code
• Airport of destination and code
• Fare
• Taxes/Fees/Charges
• Form of payment
• Status of booking
• Date of issue
• Name and address of agency where E-ticket was issued
• Excess baggage allowance
4. Procedure of purchase of E-ticket.
Electronic air ticket can be purchased at sales offices of Azerbaijan Airlines and its official agents. Procedure remains almost the same without changes:
1) You are visiting sales office or agency.
2) The agent works out an optimal route, confirm final cost, book if you approve.
3) You are paying for air ticket.
4) Agent provides you with print-out of the E-ticket that also acts as confirmation of a payment.
As the air ticket is not given to passengers in paper format, at the airport you will need to show only your passport to check-in agent who will check up availability of your E-ticket in the database and provide you with the boarding pass.
5. What are the advantages of the E-ticket?
1) It cannot be lost, mislaid or stolen.
2) Simplified and fastest check in at the airport.
