Before purchasing of an air ticket for travel on flights of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) we kindly ask you to be familiarized with the following rules of the company.

Reservations and purchase.
We recommend you to make reservations and ticket purchase in advance which can be done at any sale offices of National Carrier "Azerbaijan Hava Yollari" or its agents.
When reservations have been done you will be given printed information showing the deadline prior to which you have to purchase the ticket.
If you fail to purchase ticket within the specified time limit the reservation will be automatically cancelled by computerized reservation system and that can cause you some inconveniences in case of your definite journey.

Travel documents.
For international flights alongside with air ticket you will require to hold a valid passport and visa, customs and health regulations of the countries of transit, transfer and destination.
Non - compliance of the regulations may result in denial of  transportation.

Ticket validity.
Tickets purchased at normal fares are valid during one year from the date of issue of the air ticket or from the date of the first flight if transportation commenced.
Tickets purchased at special fares are valid during the period of time between date of issue of the air ticket and date indicated in the "not valid after" column of the ticket. Extension of validity of special fare tickets is subject to an additional payment.
Tickets are valid for transportation only in strict sequence of flight coupons. Inconsequently used flight coupons make air ticket invalid for further transportation.

Discounts and special fares.
Except special fares for children and infants we offer you discounted fares for youth, students, diplomats, families, aged passengers.

Baggage information.
The following free baggage allowances are applied for passengers on flights of Azerbaijan Airlines:
- for business class - 40kg of checked baggage plus 10kg of cabin baggage,
- for economy class - 20kg of checked baggage plus 5kg of cabin baggage.
- for infants not entitled to a seat - 10kg of baggage, which can be carried in the passenger cabin subject to availability of space.
The free baggage allowance for passengers travelling via Atlantic ocean to destinations in the USA and Canada irrespective of classes of service is two pieces of checked baggage with total dimensions of 158cm and maximum weight of 23kg per each piece of baggage.
Total dimensions of any baggage taken into passenger cabin may not exceed 115cm (55 x 20 x 40) which allow you to put them into overhead rack or near your seat.
Azerbaijan Airlines reserve the right to refuse carriage of more than free baggage allowance shown on the ticket of the passenger. It is therefore of great importance that all baggage which is considerably in excess of the free allowance be advised at the time of seat reservation.
Items of value and important documents should be carried by passengers personally.

Dangerous goods.
In the interests of flight safety dangerous goods must not be carried in any of your baggage (checked or cabin, carry on). Followings are examples of commonly used goods which are considered as dangerous goods for air travel.
